Christmas Decorations in GUM

Christmas Decorations in GUM

Here is the picture I took with my client Steve Killian during the tour around the Red Square couple weeks before the New 2007 year inside of the famous shopping mall called from the Soviet times as GUM. This name is the short for a Gosudarstvenny Universalny Magazin (Eng: State Department Store). Opened in 1893 this building was called Upper Trade Rows and only in middle of 20th century they added a roof from glass between the 3 lines (rows) inside this huge shopping mall. It was the biggest store in Russia before the Soviet revolution 1917, and one of well-known and famous shops during all its history due its location and beautiful architectural style.
