Lets me to continue the tour to the beautiful town in Moscow Rigion, Zvenigorod. You have already seen interesting churches on the way to this old, famous town: the church of the Savior in Ubory, the church of Transfiguration in Bolshie Vyazemy, so now it is time to see one of the main attractions in Zvenigorod - the St. Savva Storozhevsky monastery, which was founded by the pupil of Great St. Sergius of Radonezh (who founded famous Holy-Trinity Lavra in Sergiev Posad). The St. Savva Storozhevsky monastery has rectangular shape and situated high above the confluence of two rivers - The Moskva and Storozhki - in wooden uplands. On this picture I wanted to show you the entrance into Savva's monastery. Above the gates you can see the icon of Christ the Savior and sign on Russian "Christos Voskrese!" (Eng: Christ Risen!). When I was there with my client from Canada in May, it was about two weeks after the Russian Easter...
