Daryl had been planning his first trip to Russia, Moscow and Volgograd for about two years, and it was his fist trip to Europe... Looking at the forecasts he not expected that in the second half of October the weather in Moscow could be so cold (for him :-)). Comparing the weather in his home town Brisbane in hot Australia, I agree, that it was pretty low. Yes, it was pretty hard for him to withstand the cold weather conditions, but not for long... for soon he met a nice, beautiful woman, who warmed up his heart and he fell in love. He came to Russia as a tourist and had no any thoughts of meeting a woman here, but when it did happen, Olga (her name) was always in his thoughts and dreams...
Nowadays, when Daryl is in Brisbane and Olga is in Kazan, I help them via the internet and phone calls to learn each other’s language: she is learning English, and he - Russian. They have already made plan to meet each other next time in Australia, in February 2007. He told her: I was already in Russia, now it is your turn to come and see my country!".
I would like to wish from my heart that Daryl and Olga will continue their romance and meet each other again!
PS: In spite of the cold weather, Daryl liked Moscow, Russia, it's architecture, history and life style and told me that he would like to come with his friends again for sure.. probably in August (of course.. summer time :-))....
