White tulips in Lavra

White tulips in Lavra

This photo I took on the main square of the Trinity Monastery of St. Sergius at the end of May 2005. It was a lot of flowers on this square and I decided to include these tulips in my "new" composition. I took photo almost from the grass (ground)...

The Trinity Monastery of St. Sergius carries the name of Lavra that translating from Greece means "main and most important monastery". There are four lavras in Russia, but this monastery is considered to be "Russian Vatican" and besides our patriarch's temporary residence is situated there.
