My name is Arthur Lookyanov. I was born in Ukraine in 1971 in the city of Nikolayev, not far from Odessa on the beautiful Black Sea coast, but have lived in Moscow since I was 2 years old and consider myself a real Muscovite. I am 36 and married. In 1995, I graduated from the Moscow Aviation Institute as an engineer. Because of the crisis in science (actually everywhere in Russia in the mid 90s) I was unable to secure a position relating to my chosen field of study. Instead, I found a very good job with a private travel company as a personal driver. I gained excellent driving experience and excellent knowledge of Moscow and its traffic while employed with this company. My experience with travellers includes business people, tourists, families (expats and adoptions), and students. I took courses in English at school plus colloquial English with an American teacher. Most of my clients like my English and have given me compliments for my pronunciation. Personally, I love to work with international visitors because I like to interact with people from other countries. This helps me improve my English while at the same time offering help and advice to people visiting Moscow. I enjoy using all my skills and knowledge to make their trip to Russia more comfortable, successful, and informative. Working with so many different people from all over the world, I receive diverse requests. I try to accommodate the interests of all my customers while planning the details of their trips. My motto is to provide truly personal services. I really enjoy digital photography and I take my camera (Olympus E-500) everywhere I go to make some special, interesting pictures for my clients.
